RUHMA UKAYE
Terms of Sale - Fine Art Prints
Paris, France
These terms apply to all purchases of fine art prints by Ruhma Ukaye. By placing an order, you agree to the conditions set out below. If you have any questions before purchasing, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
1. THE PRINTS
All prints are produced as archival pigment inkjet prints on Hahnemühle fine art papers, printed by Picto, Paris — one of Europe's leading fine art printing laboratories. Each print is individually signed and numbered by the artist in pencil on the reverse and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Prints are produced in strictly limited editions. Once an edition is sold out, it will not be reprinted at any size or on any medium. Edition sizes vary per image and are stated on the individual print page.
2. PRICING & EDITIONS
All prices are stated in Euros (€) and refer to the unframed print only. Framing is available on request and quoted separately.
Prices increase progressively as an edition sells. Early buyers, therefore, acquire prints at the lowest available price. The current price for each edition number is available on request or via the price list.
Example: a print from an edition of 7 may be priced differently at copy 1 than at copy 5. The price applicable is always the price at the time of confirmed order.
3. ORDERING
To place an order, please contact Ruhma Ukaye directly by email. Orders are confirmed only once a 50% deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due before delivery or shipment.
A print is reserved for you once the deposit is received. Production begins shortly after deposit confirmation. Please allow 2-3 weeks from confirmed order to delivery, depending on production and framing requirements.
4. PAYMENT
The following payment methods are accepted:
Bank transfer (virement bancaire)
Credit/Debit card (on request)
Cash (for in-person transactions in Paris only)
Payment details will be provided upon order confirmation. All transactions are conducted in Euros.
5. DELIVERY
Within Paris, delivery is complimentary. Prints are delivered personally by the artist, by appointment, to ensure they arrive safely and in perfect condition. This also allows for a brief introduction to the work if desired.
For deliveries elsewhere in Europe, shipping costs will be quoted individually based on destination, print size, and packaging requirements. All prints are packed professionally in archival materials suitable for fine art transport. Shipments are fully insured for the declared value of the work.
International shipping (outside Europe) is not currently available as a standard option. Please enquire directly if you are based outside Europe — arrangements can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
6. CONDITION & INSPECTION
Every print is carefully inspected before leaving the studio. In the unlikely event that a print arrives damaged in transit, please notify Ruhma Ukaye within 48 hours of receipt with photographic evidence of the damage. A replacement will be arranged where edition stock permits, or a full refund issued.
Outside of transit damage, all sales are final. Fine art prints are made to order and cannot be returned or exchanged once produced.
7. CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. The certificate states the title of the work, year, medium, paper, dimensions, edition number, and total edition size. The certificate and the print together constitute the complete work.
It is strongly recommended that the certificate be stored safely, as it forms part of the provenance of the work and may affect its future value.
8. COPYRIGHT & REPRODUCTION
The purchase of a print conveys ownership of the physical object only. All intellectual property rights, including copyright, remain exclusively with Ruhma Ukaye. Prints may not be reproduced, copied, or used for any commercial purpose without prior written consent from the artist.
Collectors are welcome to share images of the work on personal social media with appropriate credit to the artist.
9. PRIVACY
Personal information provided during the purchase process is used solely to process your order and communicate with you about your purchase. It is never shared with third parties. In accordance with French and European data protection law (RGPD / GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by French law. Ruhma Ukaye operates as an artiste-auteur based in Paris, France. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution. French courts hold jurisdiction where a resolution cannot be reached.
